Their time apart is difficult for both, with Ashar trying to forget his love for Khirad while Khirad becomes emotionally hardened because of his treatment. Their daughter's illness eventually brings them together again, reigniting Ashar's feelings for Khirad. As the truth is revealed, Ashar discovers Khirad's innocence and seeks her forgiveness.
